Aside from the nonsensical tense you tried to add, the rest of that sentence indicates that you do NOT actually know what the word means.
Also, perhaps it escaped your notice, but ALL of George Romero’s zombie movies are *very* political, clearly coming from a progressive, leftist point of view.
