Now Cate and her team must do battle with a creature that has no rival, knows no fear, and regards humans as nothing more than prey. The greatest predator the world has ever known is coming home.

The Meg! I thought that the incomparably doughty Jason Statham had seen off this predatory menace last summer? Jason may have been some form of erudite marine biologist in the creature feature. He may also have punched the giant shark in the face at one point. Or stuck his thumb up the Meg’s cloaca maxima, in the style of the great Steve Irwin.
